The midfielder is sure that the grit added to the trademark Gunners brand of football will give the table-toppers the advantage as the squad enter the second half of the season
The Gunners sit top of the table at the halfway point of the season - winning 13 of their first 19 fixtures - but are just a point ahead of Manchester City, who have a superior goal difference.

"In the past few years perhaps the physical side has been missing a bit," Flamini told the Daily Mirror. "What you need in any Arsenal side is the fighting spirit but you can see that we have it and that’s great for us.
"If you want to win cups, sometimes you have to fight for it, especially in this league because it is the hardest league.
"We have a very good offensive team but it is so important to be strong defensively as that could make the difference at the end of the season.
"You have to come to places like here and typically be prepared to fight, then play your football and only by doing that can you win and get three points."
Flamini was released by Milan in the summer and, after training under the watchful eye of Arsene Wenger, was afforded a chance to impress at the Emirates Stadium - and the midfielder is delighted with his return thus far.
"It’s a great feeling to be top again, I really hope we are top at full time," Flamini added. "We are top of the league at half time for this season and being Arsenal we would have signed up for that at the start of the season.
"We are enjoying being there at the top but we know it is going to be a marathon, a long burner and we have to stay very focused and work very hard, like we did at Newcastle. If we can continue like that, that’s all we can do.
"There is so much quality in this league spread across the top teams in the English league, but Arsenal have a lot of quality too and more importantly, we have the team spirit, and that could make all the difference."
