Pardew targeting complete Newcastle performance against Cardiff

After failing to perform for the full 90 minutes in recent 3-2 defeats against Hull and Everton, the Magpies manager has urged his players to perform throughout their trip to Wales
Alan Pardew has challenged his Newcastle players to compete from beginning to end when they travel to Wales to face Cardiff on Saturday.

8/1 Newcastle are 8/1 with William Hill to beat Cardiff 1-0
The Magpies have struggled to impose themselves for the full 90 minutes in their previous league outings, losing at home to Hull City after leading at half-time before conceding three times in 37 first-half minutes against Everton.

While the manager’s half-time team talk obviously sprung his team into action at Goodison Park, with Newcastle scoring twice in the second period, he is determined not to find his team in that situation after 45 minutes in Cardiff.

“I don’t want to earn money in terms of that scoreline [0-3],” Pardew told the Chronicle. “That’s not what it is about.

“It’s about 90 minutes of a consistent performance. That’s what this team needs to bring to the party.

“Like we did at Aston Villa and like we did at home to Fulham.”
