The Brazilian defender could be joined by his compatriot in the French capital, after he revealed that discussions over a transfer have been opened between the two clubs
The pair are currently representing Brazil at the Olympic Games in London, and after an in-depth conversation with his friend and fellow countryman, the former AC Milan centre-back believes a deal could well be in the offing.
"I spoke with Lucas last week, when I saw that something was out in the press. I know they are talking, there are negotiations, and I hope he will sign for PSG," he told Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo.
"I know that the PSG and Sao Paulo are talking about it. I would be happy if the guy came to us at the end."
The news comes just hours after Inter president Massimo Moratti ruled his club out of the running to capture the 19-year-old, as a result of the French side's alleged 'illogical' bid for the player.
Manchester United have also been strongly linked with a move for Lucas, and Thiago Silva is unsurprised by the buzz that the Tricolor starlet has generated.
"Lucas does amazing things with the ball," he added.
"I do not praise Lucas because we play together or because he is my friend, but because he brings a lot to a Brazilian team that is already great,
"The team has huge qualities and this is a player who can bring even more. He is a very fast player with a very good delivery."
