The stomach bug that swept through the Ukraine camp last week appears to have dissipated, and manager Oleg Blokhin has opted for a 4-1-3-2 formation. Shevchenko lines up alongside Dinamo Moscow striker Andriy Voronin, with Anatoliy Timoschchuk in the midfield holding role.
Erik Hamren has elected to start Markus Rosenberg up front for Sweden, with Zlatan Ibrahimovic supporting the Werder Bremen striker from behind, alongside PSV Eindhoven’s Ola Toivonen and Sunderland wide-man Sebastian Larsson in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
This means only a place on the bench for Johan Elmander, who has been returning from a fractured foot. Meanwhile, Rasmus Elm is preferred in midfield to Anders Svensson alongside playmaker Kim Kallstrom.
