The controversial midfielder claims that the only thing preventing him from being part of the European Championship is his disciplinary problemsJoey Barton believes he has the ability to walk into Roy Hodgson's Euro 2012 squad and says the only thing holding him back is his behaviour.
The 29-year-old, who has just one international cap to his name, made 26 appearances for Queens Park Rangers last season and captained the side to Premier League survival.
However, the midfielder also amassed eight yellow cards and two reds last season, while also being embroiled in controversy away from the football pitch.

Barton also slammed Hodgson's decision to call up Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson, whilst also expressing his dismay that a number of other Premier League players had been left out of the squad.
"If Henderson got in, any Englishman not currently in the squad has to feel aggrieved," he added.
"How Holt, Richards, Carrick, Ferdinand, Osman, Sturridge etc never got involved is a travesty."
