Manyama chose SuperSport ahead of Chiefs for coach

New Supersport signing Lebogang Manyama says coach Cavin Johnson influenced his decision to join Matsatsantsa
Manyama, who has seven Bafana Bafana caps signed a three and a half year deal with Matsatsanta after three years at Ajax Cape Town.

"The coach was a very big factor for me. He showed me from the beginning that he really wanted me,” he told the Ajax official website.

The 23-year-old chose last year's Nedbank Cup runners-up SuperSport United over reigning champions Kaizer Chiefs, after Ajax had agreed a transfer fee with both Chiefs and SuperSport.

“The team has some fantastic players in their ranks and I have admired their style of play for a while now. My main goal is to contribute positively to the success of the club," he added.

The Tembisa-born forward scored four goals in 14 PSL matches this season for Ajax, and will now compete with the likes of Thuso Phala, Sameehg Doutie and David Mathebula for a starting berth in the Matsatsantsa line-up.
