The Danish Superliga side will decide whether to extend the loan deal of the Ghanaian midfielder or otherwise as a new transfer window nears
AGF are to determine the future of Mohammed Abu whose loan ends this week.
Abu, a player who was signed from Manchester City, has not made an appearance in the Danish Super League for AGF.
“We have not gotten it out of Abu, as we had hoped but there is still no clarity on whether we make another appointment. It depends a lot on how the activity in the transfer window will be,” AGF boss Brian Nielsen said.
“Agreement about Abu has been virtually no cost to us, and it is still too early to say what will happen, we will sit down and discuss whether to extend the deal or not.”
The 22-year-old has featured for Stromsgodset, Frankfurt, Rayo Vallecano and Lorient all on loan.
