Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Tshabalala expressed his delight to Goal after playing his 200th match for the club in last weeks 2-0 win over his former side Free State Stars.
The 29-year-old joined Chiefs from Stars at the beginning of the 2007/08 PSL campaign and has gone on to play 200 times for the Naturena outfit, while also scoring 36-goals.
“It’s a great feeling and it’s really a blessing to have played so many games for a club of Kaizer Chiefs’ calibre,” Tshabalala told Goal.
“I’m honoured and truly grateful to God because he’s guarded me until this moment,” Shabba continued.
“It felt really special going back to QwaQwa, playing against a team that gave me my professional debut, and scoring a goal was such a great feeling,” said the emotional Chiefs man.
However if Shabba hopes to break Chiefs’ all-time caps record, he will need a further 197-appearances to match Doctor Khumalo’s record of 397-appearances.
