Bidvest Wits midfielder Faty Papy has echoed the words of many who are singing the high praises of talented midfielder Sibusiso VilakaziFaty and Vilakazi are teammates at the Braamfontein outfit, but Faty feels the Bafana Bafana international (Vilakazi) is too good to be a Wits player.
“In my opinion, Wits doesn’t deserve Vilakazi,” Faty Papy exclusively told Goal.
“He is too good to be at this club, not that I’m thinking any lesser of Wits, but Vilakazi possesses so much quality and is good enough to be at any of the bigger clubs in the country or Europe.”
“I’m happy that the national team coach has finally taken note of his quality and has included him in the Bafana squad of late," he added.
Faty, who also boasts some European experience, having played in Holland's First Division and the Turkish Süper Lig, feels the 24-year-old would blossom in Europe.
“His quality is good enough for countries like Spain, Belgium, Germany and even Holland," said Faty.
“Most definitely for France, I think he would explode in France. He is a special player, he’s got what Thulani Serero (Ajax Amsterdam) has, he’s blessed with natural ability and to his advantage, Vilakazi got the height and power.”
“Pace comes naturally with how one trains so he shouldn't worry much about that.”
Locally Mamelodi Sundowns, Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are all reported to be interested in Vilakazi, although Wits are trying to secure him a move abroad instead.
