Former Orlando Pirates and Mpumalanga Black Aces midfielder Mark Mayambela can only sign with the team of his choice at least during the January transfer window.

Mayambela's short-term contract with Black Aces was terminated after he allegedly came to training under the influence of alcohol, and he, together with Mkhanyiseli Siwahla, was shown the door after the duo refused to appear before the club DC.

And Mayambela's agent Tim Sukazi confirmed to Goal that the player is ineligible to play professional football as his contract was terminated in the middle of the season, and therefore he can only get a team in January.

"He's left Black Aces. There were no discussions between us and the club about the termination of his contract or settlements," Sukazi told Goal. "Mayambela can sign with the club of his choice in January, because we are still in the middle of the season and therefore he is not eligible to register with another club," he said.

Sukazi also confirmed that several teams have inquired about Mayambela's services, but he reiterated that there's nothing they can do at the moment, and that they will have to wait for the next transfer window to open.

"Several teams have inquired about his services, but there's really nothing we can do now. We will have to wait until January to see if those teams are still interested," added Sukazi.
