The young centre-back has cut short his loan deal at Colchester and returned to the Stamford Bridge
Ghanaian young international Daniel Pappoe's loan spell at Colchester has been cut short and has returned to Chelsea.
Pappoe moved to the Weston Homes Community Stadium in the summer to feature for the League One side on a loan deal till next January.
But the 19-year-old centre back has hardly found his feet and has struggled with injury failing to make an impact at the League One club, managing just two substitute appearances and being sent off on his debut in a 2-2 draw at Bradford in mid-September.
“I'd like to thank Dan for his time with us, as well as Chelsea for letting us have another of their talented youngsters,” Colchester United's boss Joe Dunne told the club's official website.
“He was extremely unlucky with his injuries and it was best for all parties for him to return to Chelsea.”
