The Belgian blames some of his players’ for latest defeat to Chemelil Sugar adding that he will not regret if Ingwe decides to send him packing
AFC Leopards’ coach Luc Eymael says he is not scared of the sack a day after watching his team go down 3-1 to Chemelil Sugar in a league match at Mumias Complex.
Eymael had promised to break the jinx against Chemelil but instead, watched in disbelief as the sugar millers bagged maximum points.
"I am not scared of being sacked furthermore; I am looking forward to going home and be with my family and friends. I have given my best to this team and that is the only thing I can do” the Belgian told Goal.
A dejected Eymael also appeared to blame some of his players for the defeat and hinted that he wanted out.
"Today we have been let down by many individual mistakes. All the three goals were gifts to Chemelil. We did not play according to instructions and were let down by some terrible individual mistakes.”
He added: “Matasi let us down in goal and it is surprising that when I left him out the fans made a lot of noise to have him back. When I did leave out Martin Musalia, I faced same pressure but the truth is it is too late now to sign new players and we just have to do with what we have.”
Surprisingly, AFC Leopards’ face Chemelil Sugar in the second round of GOtv shield Cup this Saturday.
