Ghana focusing too much on Ayews, Muntari & Boateng - Akenteng

The GFA capo has criticised the media for placing too much attention on individuals who have left the Black Stars instead of directing focus on how to build a winsome side
The technical director of the Ghana Football Association Francis Oti Akenteng has bemoaned the emphasis placed on the Ayew brothers, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Sulley Muntari by a section of the media and football fans.
He said the focus should rather be on building a winsome side against Zambia on September 6.
“We have been talking about individual players day in and day out, but when are we going to talk about the team and what the technical team will do on that fateful day? I know we will beat them and qualify but we cannot do that if we talk about individual players,” Akenteng opined to Footy-Ghana.
"Let’s unite and support Kwesi Appiah. How will we feel if we fail to qualify for the World Cup? The media and some fans talk too much about individual players. Appiah will select the best team for us to win the game against Zambia so let’s talk about that and forget about who has to write a letter and who has to do what.”
