The Black Stars settled for a 2-2 draw with Turkey as preparations for the 2014 WC qualifier against Zambia intensifies

Ghana’s Black Stars came from behind to draw 2-2 with Turkey in an international; friendly match played in Istanbul on Wednesday night.

Galatasaray striker Burak Yilmaz was the first to find the back of the net in the 7th minute before his team-mate Umut Bulut doubled the score on the 28th minute mark.

However, the Black Stars produced a stunning comeback in the second half after some changes were made by coach Kwesi Appiah.

The likes of Kwadwo Asamoah and Asamoah Gyan joined in the second half to strengthen Ghana’s team.

Captain Gyan made the biggest difference after coming to the rescue of Ghana again with a double. The Al Ain striker has in recent times through his performances shown how important he is to the team.

Former Hearts of Oak captain Mahatma Otoo who recently joined Norwegian side, Sogndal had 30 minutes of play to advertise himself to the technical team.

Guadalajara goalkeeper, Razak Brimah, made his debut after replacing Adams Kwarasey in the second half.

His invitation shows how competitive the goalkeeping department will be as the season wears on.

This happens to be the last gathering by the Black Stars before they meet Zambia in the crucial 2014 World Cup qualifier in Kumasi on September 06.

The Black Stars need a draw against the Chipolopolo to make it to the last phase of the qualifiers.
