Marketing manager at AmaZulu, Lunga Sokhela believes they did not do well during the Nelson Mandela challenge against Manchester United last year

Sokhela said he is hoping that Usuthu will do much better against Manchester City, who lost 2-0 in their first pre-season match against SuperSport United on Sunday.

“It is no doubt that we did not play well last year during this competition. I am hoping that this time we will do much better and give Man City a great, competitive match,” said Sokhela.

Sokhela also said that, as much it their dream to beat the English club, they need to be realistic in their planning.

“Well, we need to be realistic and honest with ourselves. It will not be easy, but we must go out there and play like champions so that they also feel the pressure,” he said.

The match against Man City will also be used by coach Craig Rosslee as an opportunity to reveal new signings at the club.

“We have a totally different squad that is competent and I am sure, we will use this match to reveal some of them,” he said.
