Ghana striker Oduro wins MLS Player of the Week

The Ghanaian-born striker has been voted by soccer reporters in America as the MLS player of the week

Columbus Crew forward Dominic Oduro was voted Major League Soccer Player of the Week by the North American Soccer Reporters (NASR) for week 31 of the 2013 MLS season.

The MLS Player of the Week is selected each week of the regular season by a panel of journalists from NASR.

The group consists of members of print, television, radio and online media. Oduro scored and provided assist for Crew who beat FC Dallas 4-2 at the Toyota Stadium during the week to keep them in contention for the playoff.

Columbus Crew are back in action Saturday, October 5 when they face Sporting Kansas City at home.

The 28-year-old forward has been capped just once by Ghana and has played 31 times for the MLS outfit since joining them earlier this year and he has netted 12 goals.
