Former Arsenal and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry has proved he’s still got what it takes - by scoring directly from a corner for MLS side New York Red Bulls.
The Frenchman, 35, scored twice and set-up one in his side’s 3-1 win over Columbus Crew at Red Bull Arena.
But it was the stunning effort from a corner in second half stoppage time that has been grabbing all the headlines.
With his side already looking set to bag another three points and move up to second in the MLS Eastern Conference, Henry swung in a corner from the left with his right foot, which lofted over Columbus goalkeeper Matt Lampson and sailed into the net via a slight touch off the crossbar.
After the match Henry insisted that his stunning effort was no fluke. He told reporters: “I saw (reserve goalkeeper Matt Lampson) was off his line and was out of the goal too much, so I decided to give it a try.”
