Former Malaysia international Shebby Singh has come out to criticise the performances of the national team after their recent 0-0 draw with Philippines in a friendly.
The Azkals controlled the first half and although Malaysia improved after the break, they missed the chance to win it after striker Safee Sali missed a penalty in injury time. However, the performance left Shebby unimpressed.
"I don’t see anything special with the way we played," he told Astro Arena. "They don’t show any improvements all and we are still repeating the same habits. This is not good for the preparation for the AFF Suzuki Cup at the end of this year."
The 53-year-old also believes the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) should hire a permanent head coach, with current coach Ong Kim Swee only serving as an interim after the FAM decided not to renew K. Rajagopal's contract. The latter led Malaysia to the 2010 AFF Suzuki Cup and the
