Honourable Mentions

Izwan Mahbud - LionsXII

Goal Singapore Senior Editor Teng Kiat: The LionsXII custodian was in outstanding form as he helped his side to a 2-0 away win over Sime Darby FC after a disappointing 1-1 home draw the previous weekend. His superb reflex save to push away a header that came off a deflected free-kick at 0-0, while clearly wrong-footed by the initial delivery, set the tone for the rest of the game. Izwan came out tops again when he flew off his line to make a huge block just as an unmarked Mahmoud Amna was set to spin and shoot in the box, helping to preserve the deadlock just before half-time. He then got down quickly to parry William Mensah's header to prevent the hosts from pulling one back to cap a splendid clean sheet.

Boaz Solossa - Persipura Jayapura

Goal Indonesia's Eric Noveanto : "The prolific striker was undoubtedly the hero for Persipura Jayapura in their crucial 2-0 victory over Maldives giants New Radiant SC. He came out as man of the match after scoring a brace which led Mutiara Hitam to secure their first away win the in AFC Cup this year. The result in Male National Stadium sees Persipura remain on top of Group E and inch closer to book a place in the Round of 16."

Mark Milligan - Melbourne Victory

Goal Australia Chief Editor Iain Strachan: "Milligan worked tirelessly to try and invigorate a sluggish Victory side away to the Newcastle Jets on Saturday evening. Having been rested for the AFC Champions League loss away to Yokohama F Marinos in mid-week, the captain was an influential presence at Hunter Stadium in the penultimate round of the season, equalising twice, the second from the penalty spot late in the game, to earn his team a point that could still see them finish second, which would allow them a week off and home advantage in the finals."
