Hat-trick hero David Williams is joined by three of his colleagues in our line-up, while the other winning teams are all well-representedEugene Galekovic gets the gloves in our Team of the Week after making some good saves and keeping a clean sheet in Adelaide United's 2-0 win at home to Central Coast.
Josh Brillante has usually been deployed in midfield for the Newcastle Jets this season and impressed in their 1-0 win away to Brisbane Roar, but we've pushed him to right-back in this formation.
The same goes for Patrick Gerhardt, who did well to keep Carlos Hernandez quiet as Melbourne Heart thrashed Wellington Phoenix 5-0 on the road. Gerhardt starts at centre-back alongside team-mate Rob Wielaert, who got himself on the scoresheet in that heavy win. Ali Abbas, converted from midfielder to fullback at Sydney FC this season, occupies the left-back berth.
James Virgili was another Jet to have a good game away to the Roar on Sunday evening and gets the nod on our right flank. Orlando Engelaar opened the scoring for the Heart in New Zealand and will shield the back four in this team. Marcelo Carrusca opened the scoring for the Reds at home to the Mariners and will serve as the playmaking midfielder in our Team of the Week, while his team-mate Michael Zullo is on the left flank, where he can interchange with Abbas at will.
Up front is Alessandro Del Piero, back to his best as Sydney beat Perth Glory 2-1 on Saturday, joined by Heart's hat-trick hero David Williams, who is now the competition's joint leading goal-scorer with nine strikes so far this season.
