The Spanish striker was banned by the United Football League for one year following a complaint from former club Stallion FC about his move to new side Global FC
Rayong coach Peter Withe, who has previously managed Thailand and Indonesia, has reportedly set his sights on the Spanish striker, who is believed to be back home currently.
Sanchez led Stallion FC to both the domestic league and cup titles in the 2013 season but was slapped with a one-year ban following his transfer to rivals Global FC. Stallion claimed that the player was still under contract with them, although Sanchez believed he was a free agent after being given no indication that the club wanted to extend his contract.
According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the UFL Disciplinary Committee ruled that Sanchez had failed to secure a Player Transfer Certificate from Stallion and forced Global to forfeit pre-season games in which the striker had played in for them.
Sanchez was league top-scorer and Most Valuable Player during his time at Stallion. He also scored twice in the 2013 Singapore Cup, where Global finished fourth.
