According to Kim Swee, he is happy with the players attitude and their ability to play simple passes against Japanese side FC Ryukyu. The results of the Young Tigers are improving from match to match, and Kim Swee hopes that his players can keep the momentum and bring it to the SEA Games.
Speaking after the game, Ong Kim Swee said “We lost to Myanmar, drew with JDT and now we won tonight. So I really hope our positive graph will continue when we play in SEA Games later.”
The Malacca-born coach also added that he already has an idea who he will take to Myanmar, but tonight was an opportunity for the players to show what they can do and replace those who are currently out injured.
Kim Swee also updated the situation with Wan Zaharulnizam, Thamil Arasu and Sivanesan. He said “All three players (were) injured during the game but I cannot give any comment until I receive reports from the physio.”
