Ashri Chuchu and Safwan Hashim have both been called up by Ong Kim Swee for the BIDC Cup, providing them with the chance to stake their claim for a spot in the SEA Games squad
Sarawak FA's Ashri Chuchu and ATM's Safwan Hashim have been given a call-up, allowing them to prove their credentials and maybe even stake their claim for a spot in the South East Asian Games squad.
Ashri is recognised as one of the brightest talents in Malaysian football, but he only returned to first team action recently after a long battle with injury. As for Safwan, his consistent performances for the Armed Forces didn't go unnoticed and he will now get a chance to showcase his talent on a bigger platform.
The BIDC Cup will serve as a preparatory tournament ahead of the SEA Games at the end of this year, and Ong Kim Swee will be using it as a yardstick to help him determined and pick and strongest squad for the SEA Games.
The tournament will end on the 10th of November, after which Ong Kim Swee and his troops will be heading off to Jordan for two friendly matches against their U-23 side.
