The Young Lions fell 4-0 to DPR Korea to make it two defeats in a row, spelling their exit from the competition
DPR Korea hit Singapore for four on Thursday in the second Group H fixture for the Young Lions.
The second consecutive defeat marked the end of the road for Dejan Gluscevic's side who have now been eliminated from contention for qualifying for the AFC U19 Championships next year.
Singapore were completely outplayed and dominated by the North Korean side who opened the scoring at the 13th minute through So Jong-Hyok.
It took just 11 minutes before the Koreans doubled their lead with Kim Yu Song converting with a deft left-footed effort. Kang Nam Gwon converted from a free-kick to make it 3-0 just five minutes after before So grabbed his second of the game to end the first-half at 4-0.
Singapore tried to turn things around in the second-half but there was very little of note from the Young Lions with the exception of Brandon Koh's harmless effort from inside the penalty box three minutes from time.
Following the defeat, Singapore remain in third place with no points or goals and no goals scored. They next face botto. of the table Brunei, who lost 7-0 to Thailand in the group's other fixture, on Saturday.
