thumbnail Hello,

The Indonesian playmaker has been granted visa to trial with the Japanese side, who are apparently very keen on seeing what he has to offer

Indonesian starlet Andik Vermansyah will be travelling to Japan to trial with J-League side Ventforet Kofu, after he was successfully granted visa to travel this weekend according to sources close to Goal Japan.

Andik will be arriving in Japan on Saturday and will initially be joining their reserve side. He could also be in line to feature in their match against Shimizu S-Pulse on Sunday.

However in training, both the reserve team and their first team usually train together, meaning that Andik will be exposed to the training methods of Ventforet Kofu's first team.

The speedy midfielder is already a well-entrenched figure in South East Asian football, having impressed on numerous occasions with the Indonesian national team in regional competitions.

Andik's stint in Japan is part of the trend within J-League sides, who are beginning to branch out and scout for talents in South East Asia. Wan Zack Wan Haikal and Nazirul Che Naim are two Malaysian names who are currently plying their trade with FC Ryukyu while Vietnam forward Le Cong Vinh features for Consadole Sapporo.
