Wan Zack Haikal is a major doubt for Malaysia in the 2013 SEA Games after he picked up a knee injury
Malaysia’s best player in the recent Merdeka Tournament triumph, Wan Zack Haikal, is now a serious doubt for the 2013 SEA Games after he reportedly damaged his Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL), a knee injury which could see him sidelined for a long time.
Wan Zack, who is Malaysia Under-23's key player, may have to watch his teammates from the stands if the injury he picked up is serious.
The winger was clearly disappointed and sad with the injury.
He expressed his disappointment through his twitter account and wrote: “I cried as soon as the doctor told me it was my ACL.”
The FC Ryukyu player is also hoping that he does not need to go for an operation and hopes to find other ways to cure the injury as he is determined to help Malaysia retain the gold medal in the SEA Games this December.
Wan Zack was one of the outstanding players for his club as well as for the national team, especially during the Merdeka Tournament.
