Spanish Giants Barcelona are set to play in Malaysia for the first time on August 4
According to the club's official website, FCBarcelona.com, they will be making their maiden trip to Kuala Lumpur on August 4 as part of their Asian Tour in preparation for the 2013/2014 season.
FC Barcelona president, Sandro Rosell, speaking at a press conference at the club's headquaters, did not reveal who Tito Vilanova's side would be playing.
Rosell only confirmed that Barcelona will play three exhibition matches in the Asian Tour which includes one in Malaysia. The other two matches will be played at Shanghai in China and Bangkok in Thailand.
This will be the second time that Barcelona have visited Asia in recent years, after the Blaugrana visited the continent in 2010 and played in Beijing and Seoul.
The four-time Champions League winners, with some of the best players in the world at their disposal such as Lionel Messi, Xavi, Iniesta and Gerard Pique, are currently leading the La Liqa with 68 points after 26 matches and are still in the knockout stages of the Champions League.
