The Persebaya Surabaya supporters were taken into police custody for allegedly abusing and injuring two personnel, and causing vandalism to a resort
The fanatic supporters had allegedly abused an unidentified commuting driver and his co-driver after one supporter wanted to drive his vehicle but was refused.
Kediri City Police also revealed some fans were caught causing unrest, including looting, at Perintis Kemerdekaan street, Ngronggo resort, Kediri.
The suspected parties were then apprehended after Kediri City Police feared the fans could stir more trouble with its city residents.
"Two people are injured after the incidents," said Kediri City Police Marshall AKBP Ratno Kuncoro.
"They are now being treated in Bhayangkara hospital. We arrested them because they could threaten the safety of residents.”
However, the fans' alleged leader Hamim Gimbal has since refuted the claims, and instead insisted another fan group was guilty of the offences.
“We are not the culprit, we were the last group [ to leave]," he said.
"I believe, the main perpetrator of that incident was another group before us. They've left Kediri before us."
The 146 fans were arrested after their return from supporting Persebaya Surabaya in an away match against Perseta Tulungagung in Divisi Utama Liga Indonesia which ended 1-1.
