Mario Balotelli's controversial late penalty snatched a point for the Rossoneri after Stefano Denswil's 90th-minute strike looked to have earned the Dutch side a precious win.
"When we scored late on and Ricardo van Rhijn stopped a shot on the line, I thought we were destined to win," the 23-year-old defender told Uefa.com.
"It’s a shame about the result because I thought we played very well. We dominated in the first half without really creating many chances.
"In the second [half], Milan improved and we were no longer able to impose our game on them."
The result leaves Ajax third in Group H with one point - behind Milan and Barcelona, who have four and six points respectively.
