Following La Albiceleste's convincing win over Germany, the new Valencia signing has revealed he's happy playing alongside the Barcelona aceFernando Gago has revealed that he is 'very comfortable' playing next to Javier Mascherano for Argentina.
La Albiceleste recorded an impressive win over Germany during the midweek internationals, with Gago and Mascherano both putting in solid displays in the centre of midfield during their 3-1 win in Frankfurt.
"I feel very comfortable playing with Javier," said the Valencia midfielder. "It is not the first game we have played together, we have played many times over the years and understand each other well."
Though they ran out convincing winners, Gago admitted that Alejandro Sabella's men took a good twenty minutes before settling into the game.
"We struggled a bit in the opening exchanges," he conceded. "However, after 20 minutes we started to play better, we started to play with the ball more and controlled the game."
"We have to continue working and improving and we need to try and be more dominant from the beginning."
