South Africans Abroad Preview: Serero could wrap up Eredivisie title on Sunday

Ajax Amsterdam in pole position to clinch their seventh consecutive Eredivisie title this season, and Serero will certainly be part of that historic moment

Kagisho Dikgacoi's Crystal Palace will not do Manchester City any favours when the two sides meet in a league encounter on Sunday afternoon. City are still very much in the title race, but Palace can dent their chances with a win at home.

Tony Pulis' side have already bagged a few famous victories recently, beating Chelsea and Everton to secure their future in the Premier League next season, and this could be one of those tricky games for Man City.

Everton midfielder Steven Pienaar is ready to return to action against Southampton this weekend after four weeks on the sidelines, but it is all up to manager Roberto Martinez to decide whether he's fit for this clash or not.

The Toffees have to win their remaining league games and hope for Arsenal to drop points along the way in order to finish fourth and qualify for Uefa Champions League football next season.

In the Championship, AFC Bournemouth will attempt to overtake Nottingham Forest to eighth in the standings when the two teams clash on Saturday afternoon. Tokelo Rantie and Andrew Surman are expected to be part of the squad for this fixture.

The two South Africans have done well at Bournemouth this term and they will be aiming to finish as high as possible on the log. They are currently 10th on the Championship log with 63 points.

Doncaster Rovers will face sixth-placed Reading on Saturday, and midfielder Dean Furman will be hoping to feature and help his team move away from the bottom of the table.

In the League One division, Kgosi Ntlhe's Peterborough United will welcome struggling Shrewbury in what could be a tough encounter for the South African defender as their opponents are involved in a relegation dog-fight.

Anele Ngcongca should start for Racing Genk's play-off encounter away to Zulte-Waregem tonight (Friday). The Bafana right-back has had a fair season so far, and he will be looking to put in another fine performance in tonight's clash.

KSC Lokeren will be at home against Club Brugge on Saturday, where Ayanda Patosi is also expected to form part of the team. Patosi, known for his blistering pace and skilful display, will be hoping to keep shining for Lokeren in the remaining matches.

Andile Jali's KV Oostende will entertain Gent on Saturday night as they look to maintain their top position in the play-off mini log. Oostende are unbeaten in four outings and they will look to Jali's solid display in the midfield to extend their unbeaten run.

South African goalkeeper Darren Keet is still sidelined and he will therefore miss KV Kortrijk's encounter at home to Cercle Bruges on Saturday night. He is expected to be back next season.

Thulani Serero will look to put the disappointment of last week's Dutch Cup defeat to PEC Zwolle behind him when Ajax Amsterdam visit Heracles in their second last league game of the season on Sunday.

Amsterdam could wrap up the league title with a win this weekend. They are still six points clear at the top of the log with two games to go.

Kamohelo Mokotjo's PEC Zwolle will host PSV Eindhoven in their league encounter on Sunday afternoon. Zwolle will be buoyed by the fact that they have just lifted the Dutch Cup and also that they will be campaigning in the Europa League next season.

Mark Mayambela will be hoping to be in the Djurgaarden team to face Brommapojkarna this weekend. The former Pirates star has won the hearts of the fans since moving to Sweden.

His compatriot May Mahlangu, who made his debut a few weeks ago is also expected to be in the IFK Goteborg squad to play Flakenberg FF on Friday night.

The Bafana midfielder is one of the most respected and admired players in the Swedish League and he never disappoints whenever he's on the pitch.

Former Kaizer Chiefs and Moroka Swallows left-back Keegan Ritchie could be named in the starting line-up when his side Slavia Prague visit Bohemians 1905 in a league match on Sunday night.

The former Bafana defender made his move to the Czech Republic earlier this year, and he has made a few appearances already this season. He will be hoping to keep working hard and enhance his chances of returning to the Bafana setup.
