Saturday: KRA v KCB (Nyayo)

New comers KRA will be looking for their first point of the season when they host KCB at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday. The team received a rude welcome last Saturday by going down 2-0 to Bandari. The bankers, who finished fourth last season, had a better start after holding AFC Leopards’ 1-1 and will be determined to bag maximum points.

CHEMELIL v MUHORONI (CHEMELIL)

Chemelil will be glad to play their first home match in their own backyard after Kenyan Premier League lifted a suspension it had slapped on the venue. It is here that they will be out in search of their first win of the season after an impressive 1-1 draw against Ulinzi Stars in Nakuru last weekend. Muhoroni fell apart 5-1 to Sofapaka last weekend and will be looking to bounce back.

TOP FRY v THIKA UNITED (AFRAHA)

Top Fry, the other new comers in the league, also received a rude welcome after falling 3-0 to Sony Sugar away and have a chance to recover from that defeat when they host Thika United. This is Top Fry’s first home match and it is one they will be determined to win. Thika drew 1-1 with Tusker last weekend and will be hoping to benefit from their impressive away record in the past season.

SOFAPAKA v SONY SUGAR (MACHAKOS)

Sunday: The 2009 champions got off to a bright start and will be going all out for maximum points against Sony Sugar in a bid to maintain their good run. Sofapaka have been beset by money problems and a section of their players boycotted training last week but the club management insists this has been sorted out. Sony have had a perfect start to the season after struggling against relegation last year and is a performance they will want to protect.

CITY STARS v BANDARI (HOPE CENTRE)

New City Stars coach Robinson Ndubuisi will be out to get his first win when he hosts Bandari at the familiar Hope Centre. City Stars fell apart against Gor Mahia on Thursday after losing 2-0 and must recover quickly to avoid the struggles of attempting to survive relegation at the end of the league. It is Bandari’s first away  match of the season and one they would want to win at all costs after starting well against new comers KRA last weekend.
