thumbnail Hello,

The Spanish goalkeeper appears to be out of favour at Anfield and our readers believe he should be let go when his loan spell at Napoli comes to an end

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers undoubtedly took some supporters by surprise when he let goalkeeper Jose Reina go on loan at the start of the season.

The Spanish custodian moved to join Serie A side Napoli, with Simon Mignolet being brought in from Sunderland to take his place as the Reds' number one.

With his future at Anfield up in the air, the 31-year-old has been the subject of much transfer speculation. On Sunday, he told Marca that he would wait until the summer to decide on his future.

"I don't know where I'll be next year, but my plan is to enjoy this season and do a good job," he said.

"Then I'll have to go to Liverpool and make a decision. They have to explain to me what their intentions are, but I'm not currently up to speed on all of the possible offers which might come in, because that's a job for my agent.

"My future is here, in Italy, and we'll see what happens in June."

The majority of Goal Singapore readers believe that Reina should leave Anfield, with an overwhelming 81.5% voting that Liverpool should sell him when his loan comes to an end.

Barcelona and Atletico Madrid have both been linked with a move for Reina, who started his career at the former before moving to Villarreal in 2002. A move to Liverpool materialised three years later and he was the undisputed number one until this season, although critics had noticed his increasingly error-prone ways in the past few campaigns.
