Arsenal youngster Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has emerged as the first-ever Goal Singapore English Premier League Player of the Week.
The winger started his first league game for the Gunners since October against Crystal Palace on Monday and turned in a match-winning performance in a 2-0 win.
The 20-year-old bagged both goals in an electrifying display, striking two minutes into the second half to break the deadlock before sealing the win on 73 minutes.
The victory saw Arsene Wenger's men move to the top of the table and stay there, after Manchester City's shock 1-0 defeat at home to Chelsea one day later.
For his heroics, the England international was voted by Goal Singapore readers as their player of the week, with 72.4% picking him over Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge (17.2%) and Stoke City midfielder Charlie Adam (10.3%).
Sturridge hit a brace in midweek as the Reds mauled Everton in a 4-0 derby win before netting again in their 1-1 draw away at West Bromwich Albion. Meanwhile, Adam opened the scoring before striking a stunning winner in a 2-1 victory to hand the Potters their first win against Manchester United since 1984.
