City will beat Newcastle, say Goal Singapore readers

Manuel Pellegrini's men are in imperious form and they have been tipped to triumph over the struggling Magpies in the most intriguing clash of the weekend
Newcastle United will take on Manchester City tonight is what is arguably the glamour clash of this weekend's Premier League games.

Manuel Pellegrini's men are in imperious form and will be seeking nothing less than victory at St James' Park as they look to go top of the table, which they will if Arsenal fail to match their result.

Alan Pardew will be slightly comforted by the fact that City's four league losses have all come on the road, but they still have their hands full to avoid a fourth consecutive defeat against the Citizens juggernaut.

City have already beaten the same opponents twice this season, with Newcastle's last victory against them coming way back in 2005. To make matters worse, Pardew will have to do without Mathieu Debuchy and captain Fabricio Coloccini, while Yaya Toure and Jesus Navas are expected to play for the visitors. However, they will be without star striker Sergio Aguero.

And the majority of Goal Singapore readers have tipped Man City to triumph away this time, with 45.6% predicting that the men from the blue half of Manchester will emerge victorious. A further 33.6% voted in favour of the hosts, while the rest tipped both to share the spoils.

Man City and Newcastle will clash tonight at 10.05p.m., Singapore time.
