The lack of striking alternatives was exposed in the recent defeat to Manchester United when Arsenal had no one to turn to beside Nicklas Bendtner
Goal Singapore readers believe Arsenal need to sign another striker if they want to push for honours on all front.
Despite only suffering two losses in the league so far, Arsenal’s striking option has been limited to Olivier Giroud with Nicklas Bendtner his standby replacement.
When they trailed Manchester United in the recent league 1-0 defeat, Arsene Wenger could only send on Bendtner to play alongside Giroud, thus woefully exposing the lack of viable choices for Arsenal to turn to when Giroud is not firing on all cylinders.
This has prompted 78.3% of readers to vote in favour of the Gunners signing another striker to push the Frenchman for a place in the squad while bolstering options up front at the same time.
Arsenal have various players who can fill in the striker position such as Theo Walcott and Lucas Podolski who are out injured at the moment, but scored 21 and 17 goals respectively last season.
Furthermore, tenacious midfielder Aaron Ramsey is on a brilliant scoring form this season so far.
However, only 21.7% of readers believe that the injured personnel can return to fold and or that Arsenal’s other midfielders are capable of solving the lack of striking alternatives.
Arsenal currently stand at the top of the league with 25 points, and are two points ahead from nearest title rival Liverpool.
