Badhri Radzi is Goal Malaysia readers’ choice for Malaysia Cup MVP

A three-day poll revealed that a large majority of Goal Malaysia readers select Kelantan’s Badhri Radzi as the MVP of the Malaysia Cup.

A whopping 79 per cent of Goal Malaysia readers have chosen Badhri Radzi as their Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2013 Malaysia Cup.

Coming in second is Pahang and Malaysia international striker Azamuddin Akil, who at one point, was tied with the Red Warriors’ skipper at 32 per cent.

After three days of polling, a total of 3382 sided with Badhri who helped his side reach the Malaysia Cup final for the sixth time in the club’s history.

Azamuddin, on the other hand, garnered 496 votes.

Goal readers were also given the option to choose the likes of Marlon James (ATM), Ronny Harun (Sarawak), Dickson Nwakaeme (Kelantan), R. Gopinathan (Pahang), Obinna Nwaneri (Kelantan), Khairul Azhan (Pahang), Matias Conti (Pahang) and others.

Second runners-up in the hearts of Malaysian readers were both Ronny and Khairul who had only two per cent of the total votes.

The Malaysia Cup concluded last week with Pahang breaking their 21-year duck in the competition with a 1-0 win over Kelantan in a final that saw the better team win at the Shah Alam Stadium.

Conti emerged as the only scorer of the game when he rose higher than the Red Warriors’ defence to head home Azamuddin’s cross in the 59th minute.

The latter went on to win the official man of the match award.
