The Ghana Premier League enters its 10th round of fixtures this weekend and Goal seeks to predict the outcome of the matches.
Kotoko 2-1 Liberty
In Saturday's only game, leaders Asante Kotoko would be hoping to bounce straight from defeat suffered in their last outing away in Kpando. Despite that loss, the Porcupine Warriors remain on top of the chart and Didi Dramani's boys would only be slight favourites to consolidate their lead with a win against an exciting Liberty Professionals side in Kumasi.
Hearts of Oak 1-0 King Faisal
The Phobians, like rivals Kotoko, seek to smart from a loss on the road with a win in front of their own against King Faisal, a team currently on song and truly capable of pulling off a giant-killing feat. Still, trust David Duncan's charges to triumph on Sunday albeit by the narrowest of margins.
New Edubiase 1-1 Ashgold
This local derby between clubs found at either extremity of the league table could prove typically dicey and feisty. Edubiase, 13th, battle the very real threat of sinking into the drop zone while The Miners, two points off the top and in second place, would be keen to earn the points at Bekwai's Gyamfi Park to fuel their own title-winning ambitions and protect the unbeaten record they possess thus far in the season. In the end, though, Ashgold might only succeed in picking up their 5th draw this term, and Edubiase their 4th.
Inter Allies 0-2 Heart of Lions
After arresting their seven-game pointless streak in Week 8 with a win against Bechem United, new entrants Inter Allies quickly returned to losing ways in their next game away to Berekum Chelsea. Welcoming Lions to Tema, however, Allies would be hoping for a repeat of their last home result yet those dreams would likely be truncated by in-form Lions who arrive on the back of a memorable victory over Kotoko last weekend.
Sekondi Hasaacas 1-1 Berekum Chelsea
Between Chelsea (12th) and Hasaacas (15th) lie two clubs and as many points, ensuring that lots would be at stake when the latter hosts the former on Sunday. Hasmal's vociferous home support could count, yet ultimately for very little.
Ebusua Dwarfs 2-1 Medeama
In Cape Coast, Dwarfs and Medeama are tipped to serve up one of the weekend's top-liners. Either side chalked a win in its most recent league game and would seek to build on that momentum with another positive result. Dwarfs seem the probable side to win the battle.
Aduana 0-0 Amidaus Professionals
Locked on 11 points apiece and with one (Amidaus) lying just on top of the other (Aduana), a stalemate between the pair who suffered losses during the previous matchday seems a fair and foreseeable outcome.
Wa All Stars 1-0 Bechem United
The Wa-based outfit face a stern test against Bechem United, knowing just how priceless a win could prove, even as they look to propel themselves into the top half of the table, a privilege that Bechem, 8th per the current standings, already enjoy.
