J-League Round 30 Best XI and MVP: Kawamata turns heads with three-goal display

The 24-year-old's hat-trick put him just two goals behind current league leader Yoshito Okubo for the Golden Boot after never having scored in any of his previous J1 seasons
Hat-trick hero Kengo Kawamata is Goal's J-League MVP for Round 30 after his game-controlling performance against Shonan Bellmare.

The 24-year-old frustrated the Bellmare defense all day and made them pay for their mistakes, scoring two goals via penalty kicks before his third and eventually decisive strike came in the second half. Kawamura's hat-trick gives him 20 goals on the season, a remarkable effort for a player whose first J1 goal came in May.
As the lone forward in our 3-6-1 formation, Kawamata is flanked by Sanfrecce's Mihail Mikic and Marinos captain Shunsuke Nakamura on the wings with Toshihiro Aoyama and double-scorer Yosuke Kashiwagi also in the attack.

Reds defensive midfielder Yuki Abe is joined by Ryosuke Matsuoka, whose fine performance for Jubilo Iwata was unfortunately marred by a late loss to rivals Shimizu S-Pulse.

At the back are defenders Tsukasa Shiotani, Marcus Tulio Tanaka, and Kazuya Yamamura. The Antlers left back is lead by his goalkeeper Hitoshi Sogahata, who was nearly flawless against Kawasaki Frontale.
