David de Gea is the Premier League's best goalkeeper according to a poll, while Joe Hart's reputation has taken a severe blow after yet another costly mistake against Chelsea
A quarter (25.9%) of Goal Singapore readers who voted think that de Gea has the safest pair of hands.
Despite Manchester United's slow start to the season, de Gea has been in excellent form so far after a string of impressive performances in goal. United's defence has been largely poor so far this season, but de Gea's heroics has prevented the Premier League Champions from slipping further behind the league table. Against Stoke last weekend, de Gea almost single-handedly kept Manchester United in the game with a string of top class saves before eventually edging out as 3-2 winners.
In contrast, Hart had only 3.5% of the votes after his miscommunication with Matija Nastasic in the latter stages of the game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge gifted Fernando Torres the winning goal, condeming Manchester City to yet another away defeat. The goalkeeper's mistake was the latest in a recent string of high-profile errors he has made so far this season. Hart was also blamed for the goals City have conceded against Cardiff, Aston Villa and more recently against Bayern Munich in the Champions League.
Liverpool's Simon Mignolet recorded the second highest number of votes, with 23.6% of readers being most impressed with his performances for Liverpool, while Chelsea's Petr Cech is in third place with 20.7% of the votes.
Arsenal's Wojciech Szczesny and Tottenham's Hugo Lloris make up the other list of names, garnering 16.7% and 9.8% of the votes respectively.
