Rooney should leave Man Utd, say Goal Singapore readers

After the forward reportedly rejected contract advances from Old Trafford, our readers believe his heart is no longer at the club
The Wayne Rooney will-he-stay-or-go saga has been dragging on during the whole of pre-season, and it looks set to continue.

There was much speculation as to whether he would leave Manchester United before the campaign started, with Chelsea interested in his services after the England striker had wanted to leave.

The 27-year-old eventually stayed on and has had a decent season so far under new manager David Moyes, but has allegedly rejected a recent approach from United chiefs to start talks on extending his contract, which expires at the end of next season, according to reports.

Goal Singapore readers voted in a poll that asked whether Rooney should stay and 55.4% were of the opinion that United should let him go as he clearly wants to leave, having already put in a transfer request last season.

While 40% think he should stay and the rest believe the situation needs more time to play out, all supporters should get their answer when the transfer window opens again in January.
