thumbnail Hello,

Surprise results confounded our boys but they still hit the nail on the head for some matches. How will they fare this week?

"Everton are the only unbeaten team in the league, and City need a win. I think City have enough to just edge this.
"City will be keen to get back to put the thrashing by Bayern in the back of their minds. Toure could be decisive here.
"City will be looking to bounce back from their poor champions league performance against Bayern. Everton will be no pushovers though, so City need will need to be at their best to get a win. "Manchester City have been blowing hot and cold since the season started, so it could very well end as a draw..

 CARDIFF CITY vs NEWCASTLE

Cardiff City Stadium — Cardiff (Caerdydd)

2-1 1-3 1-1 0-2
"Don't underestimate Cardiff, especially at home. Newcastle are on the back of two defeats, this won't be the end of that run.
"Cardiff stunned Fulham last week but I don't see the Magpies losing two on the trot. Cabaye and Remy might be crucial here.
"Cardiff will be tough to beat at home, but Newcastle can take heart from their encouraging second half performance against Everton. Draw a fair result. "Newcastle are not a bad team, even though recent results suggest otherwise. I would expect them to end their losing streak here.

 FULHAM vs STOKE CITY
October 5, 2013 10:00 PM SGT
Craven Cottage — London

Kenneth Ho
1-1 0-0 1-0 1-0
"I like Jol, but Fulham have had a poor start, and Stoke haven't. But things should change and a draw is a start
"Fulham can't seem to get a league win from anywhere at the moment, while Stoke are not prolific. "Both teams will be looking to bounce back after home defeats last week. But previous matches between the two clubs have always favoured the home team. So I’ll be going with Fulham here. "Whatever happened to the Fulham of last season? Berbatov should find the mark soon, it's rare to see him so muted.

HULL CITY TIGERS vs ASTON VILLA
October 5, 2013 10:00 PM SGT
Kingston Communications Stadium — Hull
Bhas Kunju Teng Kiat
Ahmad Khan
Kenneth Ho
1-1 1-2 0-1 0-0
"So Steve Bruce has worked his magic again. Villa are on a high though, that makes this a tough call. It's going to be close.
"Both sides are looking to make it three league wins in a row but I think Villa have too much quality.
"Hull has done fairly well so far this season, but Villa’s victory over Manchester City last week should give them an edge coming into this tie. This should be a narrow encounter, and Villa should just edge it. "I have already said that a team which beat Arsenal at the start of the season isn't that bad, but Hull are no pushovers too.

 LIVERPOOL vs CRYSTAL PALACE
October 5, 2013 10:00 PM SGT
Anfield — Liverpool
Bhas Kunju Teng Kiat
Ahmad Khan
Kenneth Ho
3-0 4-0 2-0 1-0
"Crystal Palace are almost certainly going down, and Suarez and Sturridge should have an easy night out.
"Suarez and Sturridge look frightening together and they will fire the Reds to victory. "Very hard to see Crystal Palace getting anything out of this game. Liverpool should be comfortable winners. "The focus is on Liverpool's strikeforce, but I don't expect the floodgates to burst open.

 SUNDERLAND vs MANCHESTER UNITED
October 6, 2013 12:30 AM SGT
Stadium of Light — Sunderland
Bhas Kunju Teng Kiat
Ahmad Khan
Kenneth Ho
2-1 0-2 1-2 1-3
"Have Man Utd learnt their lesson? Will Moyes bounce back? Confidence is low for both sides, but the Red Devils are more bruised and Sunderland should be in the hunt for a match like this to boost their confidence.
"Moyes seems to be struggling with team selection still. United were a little lucky to escape with the 1-1 draw in Donetsk and the Stadium of Light is not an easy place. Still, I think they can edge this.
"United might struggle against the worse team in the Premier League currently. But I really don’t see the champions losing a third league game in a row. It will be a tough match, but United should have enough ammunition to see off the Black Cats.
"The core of the Man Utd team which won the title last season still remains, and no team turns bad overnight. It's still early days in the season so I wouldn't write off the Red Devils just yet.

 NORWICH CITY vs CHELSEA
October 6, 2013 8:30 PM SGT
Carrow Road — Norwich, Norfolk
Bhas Kunju Teng Kiat
Ahmad Khan
Kenneth Ho
2-2 1-1 1-3 1-4
"Norwich have been a surprise so far and Chelsea as well for different reasons. Could this be another upset?
"Norwich are not an easy team for anyone to beat, not even for Mourinho's men.
"This could potentially be a banana peel for Mourinho’s men, traveling to Carrow Road on the back of an away Champions League tie in midweek. The Blues will have to dig deep to get the 3 points here. "Chelsea have responded well to their recent losing streak, and that should continue at Carrow Road.

 SOUTHAMPTON vs SWANSEA CITY
October 6, 2013 8:30 PM SGT
St. Mary's Stadium — Southampton, Hampshire
Bhas Kunju Teng Kiat
Ahmad Khan
Kenneth Ho
2-1 1-0 1-1 2-2
"Saints have a mean defence and Swansea are shaky away. Could be another win for the home side.
"The Saints are at full strength and the Swans could be affected by fatigue from their European adventures.
"Saints have started the season strongly, but the Swans should give a good account of themselves to come away with at least a point. "It's two in-form team up against each other, so they should cancel out each other with plenty of goals.

TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR vs WEST HAM UNITED
October 6, 2013 11:00 PM SGT
White Hart Lane — London
Bhas Kunju Teng Kiat
Ahmad Khan
Kenneth Ho
1-0 3-0 1-0 4-0
"What a boring low-scoring side Spurs are. West Ham are in free fall so no contest here.
"Spurs to smack the Hammers here. They are due a big win.
"Another London derby for Tottenham, and they might struggle against West Ham looking to impose themselves after a run of poor results. Spurs to nick it here with a moment of quality. "Playing a London derby, Spurs might just find the motivation to run riot.

 WEST BROMWICH ALBION vs ARSENAL
October 6, 2013 11:00 PM SGT
The Hawthorns — West Bromwich
Bhas Kunju Teng Kiat
Ahmad Khan
Kenneth Ho
2-2 0-2 1-3 0-2
"All eyes on this match, will WBA claim a second major scalp? They're a good side but Arsenal have new-found confidence and believe that had been missing for years. Worse case scenario this should be a draw after midweek exertions.
"The Baggies were impressive in their 2-1 upset of Man Utd last week, but the Gunners are in a rich vein of form at the moment. Ozil, Ramsey and Giroud look a mouth-watering triple delight.
"West Brom did well to defeat Manchester United last week, but it is unlikely they’ll claim another victory against a top side. Arsenal should continue their impressive run of victories. "Arsenal are the in-form team at the moment, and I am a Gunner. So basically, COYG!
