thumbnail Hello,

Additional to our weekly South Africans Abroad feature, we will have a look at Zimbabweans in top European leagues too

In the Czech Republic, Costa Nhamoinesu continued with his consistent run at Sparta Prague after lasting 90 minutes for the Czech giants in the 4-1 home win over FC Slovácko.

With one goal to his name this season, Nhamoinesu has appeared in every minute of Sparta’s Grambinus Liga campaign.

Unbeaten Sparta are at the top with 25 points and four ahead of second-placed and Uefa  Champions League contenders Viktoria Plzen.

In England Bradley Pritchard lasted 71 minutes at Championship side Charlton Athletic's 1-0 away loss to Millwall. The 27-year-old was replaced by Callum Harriot.  The former English Premiership side are five places from the bottom.

In Greece OFI Crete’s former Kaizer Chiefs defender Lincoln Zvasita was red-carded in the 46th minute after having been cautioned a minute before the breather. It was the first time this season for Zvasiya not to last the entire match as Crete went on to lose 1-0 to Panathinaikos away and remain in the relegation zone at 16th spot in the 18-team league.

In Romania Mike Temwanjira played the full match but was cautioned three minutes after the break in FC Vaslui’s 1-1 draw away at Brasov.

Eighth-placed Vaslui had taken an early lead through Liviu Antal before the hosts restored parity Romeo Surdu three minutes before halftime.

In Belgium Nyasha Mishekwi did not even appear in KV Oostende’s final 18 man-squad in Sunday’s 1-1 away draw at Gent. Mushekwi has featured twice and scored only once for the Jupiler League side who are one place from bottom.

Mons midfielder Vusa Nyoni for the first time this season did not feature for the bottom-placed Mons 4-2 away loss to Mechelen.

Ovidy Karuru once again failed to take part in OH Leuven’s 4-2 away loss to Zulte Waregem. Karuru fell out with coach Ronny Van Geneugden during a training ground spat late last season and his handlers want him out at Stadion Den Dreef.
