"If he goes on like this, he will be player of the season, let’s be honest." Pitso Mosimane believes Khama Billiat could take Mamelodi Sundowns to the Promised Land if the midfielder continues to mesmerise sides with his skill and pace. Billiat was a driving force behind Sundowns vital 2-1 over Bidvest Wits on Saturday, with the midfielder creating the first goal and scoring the eventual winner in a tight and testing encounter for Mosimane's side. Billiat proved to be the difference, and could inspire the Brazilians' talented squad to a PSL title, if he maintains consistency throughout the season.

Congratulations to Khama Billiat Goal.com's 46th South Africa Player of the Week winner!

Honourable Mention

Knowledge Musona - Kaizer Chiefs

Musona magic continued for Chiefs as the Zimbabwean notched up a second goal of the season for the defending champions, his 69th minute header securing a 2-1 win over Platinum Stars on Saturday night.

Sifiso Myeni - Orlando Pirates

Myeni was a bright light in attack for Pirates during their 0-0 draw against Al Ahly, causing the Egyptian giants concern throughout his time on the pitch. His tireless running and exuberance should help Pirates contend with their heavy fixture list.
Siphesihle Nzimande - Polokwane City

The PSL rookies notched up their first win of the campaign as Thapelo Tsihlo and Nzimande sealed a 2-1 victory over Ajax Cape Town. As Ajax looked to find a way back into the game, Nzimande's 70th minute strike helped his side gain a morale-boosting win.

Each week our team of writers will put forward a selected candidate, as chosen by Goal.com South Africa, who deserves recognition for achieving something special that matchday.

You can also help us choose a worthy recipient of the weekly accolade by leaving your nominations and comments. Your suggestions will be taken into consideration.

It won't necessarily be the best player in the country - at least not usually - but whoever we crown will have accomplished something amazing. It might be for a particularly awesome performance or for something praiseworthy off the pitch - either way, the person in question deserves special attention...
