Honourable Mentions

Kyi Lin - Myanmar U23

Goal Thailand Deputy Editor Thana Wongmanee: "The attacking midfielder who turned 21 just five days ago set the Merdeka Cup match between Myanmar and Thai All Star alight. Kyi Lin provided the crucial assist for Zayar Win's equaliser, bursting into the penalty box to find his captain with a killer ball. If he improves, Yangon United might be too small for him."

Irfan Fazail - Malaysia U23

Goal Malaysia Deputy Editor Sadat Osman: "The Young Tigers' captain led by example against Singapore U23. Despite the horrible pitch conditions, 22-year-old Irfan bossed the midfield, dictating the game well. There was never a stray pass from this young lad who will surely be a contender for MVP of the Merdeka Tournament."

Boaz Solossa - Persipura Jayapura

Goal Indonesia's Eric Noveanto: "The Black Pearls' prolific striker bagged two goals in front of thousands of spectators in Persepam Madura at the Gelora Bangkalan Stadium. The two goals brought him closer to clinching the Indonesian Super League 2013 top scorer prize. "

Adul Lahso - Chonburi FC

Goal Thailand Deputy Editor Thana Wongmanee: "The Sharks' hardman had a very difficult mission against Muangthong United in the 'Thai Classico' . Adul has been the keyman in Chonburi's recent resurgence and also scored the equaliser to grab a point at the SCG Stadium, keeping the Sharks in the title race."
