ENGLAND

It was another full game for captain Victor Wanyama when his side Southampton drew 1-1 against Sunderland in a English Premier League match played at St.Mary's Stadium. Wanyama played his first match for the Saints last weekend in a 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion. Sunderland went ahead after three minutes when Emanuele Giaccherini scored the opener. Jose Fonte then scored the equalizer for his side in the 88th minute.

FRANCE

Dennis Oliech was on the bench when his club Ajaccio squeezed their second draw in a row after their match against Nice ended in a scoreless draw. Ajaccio had also held favorites PSG 1-1 last weekend in their second match of the season. The two draws keeps Ajaccio in the lower reaches of the standings where they are currently placed in 17th position with just 2 points from three matches. Divock Origi came on a second half substitute when his side Lille edged put St.Ettiene 1-0 in another French Ligue one fixture.

TANZANIA

Coastal Union of Tanzania started the country's league on a positive note after stopping JKT Oljoro 2-0 on Saturday. Former Bandari forward Chrispine Odula started in the match and played the whole 90 minutes while another Kenyan midfielder Jerry Santos did not play any role in the fixture. Kenyan international defender Jockins Atudo turned out for Azam when the team drew 1-1 with Mtibwa Sugar in another league opener away.  Azam were however, without Kenyan midfielder Humphrey Mieno, who is injured.

AZERBAIJAN

Patrick Osiako was on the losing end as his club Simurq Zaqalata went down 3-0 to Baku in their Azerbaijan top league match played at the Saher Stadium on Saturday. Osiako did not however, feature for his club and stayed on the bench through-out. The goals for the winning side came through Javid Huseynov who opened the scores in the 48th minute while Afran Ismayilov added another one at the hour mark. Huseynov completed the scores in injury time to guarantee his side three points.

SAUDI ARABIA: Former Tusker defender David 'Cheche' Ochieng made his debut for new club Al Taawuon in a 1-1 tie with Al-Fateh in the Saudi Arabian top league match played on Saturday. Ochieng played in the entire 90 minutes and was impressive at the back as his side rallied from a goal down to pick a point from this fixture. Al Taawuon remain in fifth position on the standings while Al Fateh are still at the top of the standings.
