thumbnail Hello,

The Chelsea man has been making all the right moves as he seeks to cement a place in Jose Mourinho's team

Nigeria Player of the Week
Victor Moses
AGE 22
2-0 Inter
2-0 AC Milan

Victor Moses did not score in his last two games but his provision of assists for three goals in a star-studded Chelsea midfield nicked him this week's title.

It has been two outstanding performances from Moses as he sought to convince new manager, Jose Mourinho on his capabilities. And he succeeded as the manager has since praised him for his versatility and hard work.

He created the two goals from which Chelsea beat Inter and also created the second goal against AC Milan. The 22-year-old is hoping to exceed last season's performance when he played 41 times and scored 10 goals.

Moses' jinking run against Inter and his pass to Oscar created the first goal and on one of his rampaging runs, he was brought down for the penalty which Eden Hazard converted.

Against AC Milan, he came off the bench and gave Urby Emanuelson a torrid time. Time and time again, he took the ball past the Dutch left-back. His pass to Andre Schurrle in the 90th minute gave Chelsea their second goal agaInst Milan.

Congratulations to Victor Moses,'s Nigeria Player of the Week winner!

The Shortlist

Emmanuel Emenike - Spartak Moscow

While the Nigerian striker is embroiled in transfer speculations, he has been getting on with business on the field as he scored for the third game running in the league.

He opened the scores for Spartak away to Kuban Krasnodar with a text-book header in the 30th minute off a cross from Jurado from the right flank. It was purely a striker's goal.

Oghenekaro Etebo  - Warri Wolves

The Wolves dynamite had an impressive performance with his soft deft touches and good dribbling skills. It was during one of his daring moves into the Rangers box that led to the penalty.

He was fouled in the box, dusted himself off and coolly converted the spot kick for his 10th goal of the season. For a player who is playing in the top flight for the first time, his rise has been meteoric.

Laide Okanlawon - Shooting Stars

A goalkeeper who continues to earn plaudits from opponents for his shot-stopping heroics.

Okanlawon was the sole reason 3SC left Katsina Ala with just 1-0. He thwarted all of Lobi's attempts to score more than one goal.
