It is hard to not credit Lee Kwan Woo, whose performances in the five matches in April has lifted Home United out from the bottom half of the table. Having bee largely displaced from his position as a midfielder and frequently deployed as a striker, the Korean has displayed his professionalism by adapting well to his new role and even flourishing under it with three goals in his last five games. Currently the Protectors' leading league goalscorer, the 35-year-old adds a touch of class and quality to the Bishan outfit despite his advancing years.
Lee has a loyal following of fellow Koreans who never fail to show up at every Home United match, perhaps a testament of his cult status back home. The former Suwon Bluewings midfielder, who has been capped 13 times by his country, chose the S.League because he wanted a fresh challenge after around two years of not playing, and has been adapting well.
As such, we at Goal.com Singapore believe Lee deserves to have this month's accolade bestowed upon him and hope the supporters will continue to enjoy more consistent showings from him.
