Warriors expected to beat Woodlands and leaders DPMM to continue fine run against the Courts Young Lions
|Singapore Armed Forces
The Warriors were unlucky to go down to Harimau Muda 2-1 in their last game and will be looking to bounce back with a strong performance. Forwards Fazrul Nawaz and Mislav Karoglan have forged a good understanding and with the support from Tatsuro Inui and Shimpei Sakurada, will be a stern test for the Rams.
Warriors coach Richard Bok will definitely have used last years' 2 ties against the Rams to motivate his team. SAFFC scored a whopping 12 goals in those 2 games winning the home leg 7-0 and the return leg 5-1.
The Rams are winless in 5 matches and will have to be at their best to stop a resurgent SAF attack.
Both teams have had a run of indifferent form after a strong start and will be looking to this game to rediscover their form.
Albirex will be recharged from their week's rest and will come out with all guns blazing. The Japanese will also be looking for a win to keep up the pace with the leaders and will be motivated by last season's double over Balestier.
Balestier Khalsa were surprisingly held to a draw by the Courts Young Lions in their last game and coach Darren Stewart will be expecting a strong performance from his boys.
Expect both teams to cancel one another out!

DPMM have taken the league by storm with a strong start to the season and are expected to continue their run against the Young Lions.
The Young Lions face a tough away trip to Brunei and will struggle to cope with the hostile conditions. DPMM coach Vejran Simunic will be again relying on forwards Rodrigo Grahl and Basiru Osman to deal the damage.
The Young Lions have only picked up one game from their first 5 matches and will have to be at their best against an experienced DPMM side. The Lions can take confidence from their morale boosting draw against Balestier last time out.
The Stags came unstuck after an early goal by Joseph Kalang Tie in the AFC Cup clash but return to S-League action hoping to put one past Geylang.
The lost to Terengganu halted a 4 match unbeaten run for the Stags that included an impressive 2-0 victory over Home United.
Aleksandar Duric who has been single-handedly carrying the Stags will be looking for greater support from his teammates. Michael King and Mun Seung Man will be expected to lead the Geylang team to victory.
Stags to bounce back with a solid showing!
Hougang United will come into this game buoyed by the goalscoring form of striker Jordan Webb. Canadian Jordan scored 2 in their last match against Woodlands and helped Hougang to victory, stopping a 3 match winless streak.
Gombak were overpowered by a strong DPMM side in their last game and will be looking to repay their home supporters with a strong showing.
They will find the going tough and will have to make their chances count. Failure to convert clear-cut chances has cost Gombak valuable points this season.
The clash of the weekend sees Home United play host to Malaysian side Harimau Muda and it promises to be a treat for footballing fans!
Harimau are tied for top-spot after an impressive run and have caused teams problems with their mobility and stamina. Wan Zack Zainal has been inspirational for Harimau and the Protectors defence will have to keep a close watch on him.
The Protectors who have scored the 17 goals in the league, the most by a team this season have failed to find the net in their last 2 matches and will be looking to their attacking department to deliver. Forward trio Shi Jiayi, Federic Mendy and Qui Li will need to be at their best to take points off Harimau.
Expect a cracking match with plenty of good football on show!
