The Juventus-owned striker, who is on loan at Elche, has revealed that the Spanish giants are his childhood club and still supports them although he scored against them this season
Ghana international Richmond Boakye-Yiadom has confessed that his favourite team is Real Madrid.
The Elche striker, who scored a goal this season in the game against Los Blancos at the Stadium Martinez Valero, openly declared on Spanish television that he is a big fan of the ten-time European champions.
“My favourite team is Real Madrid, and Sassuolo, of course,” Boakye-Yiadom said on TMW. “When I was little, in my house everyone supported Manchester United and Barcelona because of Ronaldinho's phenomenon but I liked Real.”
Boakye-Yiadom also explained that his move to Juventus came as a shock though he was expecting some offers after a good season with Sassuolo.
“To be honest, I was expecting some teams to come calling after a good season with Sassuolo, but the interest of Juventus I found out at the last minute because I do not read newspapers. My agent called me and gave me the good news.”
The 20-year-old forward is having a good term with Elche and might probably catch the eyes of scouts of Madrid.
